Since Marcellina was an infant, she has been surrounded by music.

In her Orange County home, her father and mother devoted their living room to

walls covered in guitars, drums, and a piano. At just 3 years of age, she was

drumming and accompanying her Father's guitar playing. Next came her love for

piano, violin, guitar, bass, ukulele, all the while singing since she could speak.

By growing up in Southern California, Marcellina was in just the right place

to be a musician.

At age 18, she started writing her own music and performing at open mics,

restaurants and busking in between. Approaching her twentieth birthday,

she proudly saved enough to fund her own recording equipment.

Since then, Marcellina has self-produced several original compositions including

2 albums, and many singles. Now 24 years old, Marcellina has put together her

live band, Marcellina and the Monarchs, who have performed at big venues and

smaller-scale festivals since 2019. Marcellina has reached almost 30,000 people

on Tik Tok with her unique sense of harmony and eccentric approach to covering

popular sounds on the app. 

Marcellina continues to push the boundaries of rock

with her psychedelic and intricate approach to modern music with her roots

in jazz, hip hop, R&B, punk and classical music.

Marcellina and the Monarchs plan to go on a mini American tour

along the west coast in 2023. For now,

the quintet continues to perform all around Southern California.
